Blackberry and Big Blue Bath Bomb Review – LUSH.

It’s time for another LUSH cosmetics review. One of those ones that people either love; or hate. In this post I will be giving you my thoughts on The Blackberry Bath Bomb and The Big Blue Bath Bomb (which I ordered online from LUSH UK’s website).

The Blackberry Bath Bomb:
“A purple blackberry scented bath bomb for a burst of cheeriness on a dreary day”.

This particular bath bomb amazed me. I dropped it in to my bath tub and as it fizzed away: The most stunning colour of deep violet filled the water. I was in awe. I bathed in it and felt like such a princess. This is how every bath should feel. As I lay there, soaking in the purple waters, luxuriating in the fruity fragrance – suddenly I noticed something floating around in my water. What the Fransie and Josie is that? (I’m just about to give this away – so if you’re thinking of trying this bath bomb out for the first time and don’t want to know what the ‘surprise’ was lurking in the waters of my bath tub – please look away now). It was a piece of paper which read BOOM BOOM. Was that an anti-climax? I promise it was more exciting than it sounds. I genuinely thought it was such a lovely gesture and I definitely hadn’t expected to find that inside. I would have absolutely LOVED it if it was a fortune floating around in the water that I discovered (you know, like a fortune cookie?) now that would have been even more marvelous! The Blackberry Bath Bomb reminded me so much of parma violets – the sweets, so if you are a fan of them then definitely give this one a bash!

The Big Blue Bath Bomb:
“This calming bath bomb evokes a summer’s day at the seaside: perfect for drifting off.”

This bath bomb is ideal for unwinding and relaxing after a stressful day – or perhaps before bed. It consists of a tang of lemon, a hint of lavender and a dash of sea salt. If you ask me: It is the perfect combination. I had been feeling very uptight and had endured a very draining and stressful day; this was the perfect time to put it to use. I released it in to the bath tub and it began to fizzle gracefully. Suddenly the bath was a vivid blue colour and filled with bits of seaweed – which took my mind and body to an extremely peaceful place. I lay there surrounded in the bits of seaweed (you would think this is uncomfortable and irritating but it is so so so relaxing actually). Basically, the seaweed is inside the bath bomb and as it fizzes, the seaweed begins to swirl around the water and eventually sinks to the bottom of the tub. It isn’t hard to clean at the end and it really does help to ease your mind and de-stress you after a long day. It makes you feel so refreshed and clean afterwards. I would recommend this one too; especially if you are like me and find it difficult to ‘take a breather’. Just relax, close your eyes, and imagine you are by the sea.

I hope that you have enjoyed this review of these two LUSH products. Have you ever tried these before? Or have these reviews enticed you at all (or put you off? ha ha). Please leave comments!

Until next time
