Ripples in the Water – Blogmas Day 16

img_4819

We are all

but ripples in the water;

every time we take a hit

it creates a knock on effect.

The vicious circle of life.

The relentless ripples

in the pits of

our soul.

NOTE: Hey lovelies. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but over the past few days blogmas has turned in to me sharing daily poetry on the blog with you. I didn’t intend on doing this but I had no posts written or scheduled beforehand and I’ve just been going where the wind takes me with this whole daily blogging shenanigans and keeping it relevant, to me. This poem today was inspired at Loch Lubnaig, in the photo at the beginning of the post, here’s a couple more pictures from today since the poem was short and sweet – well, not sweet, but you catch my drift.

Until tomorrow,

Charlene McElhinney

    Really enjoying your blooms posts lately, Charlene. I like this one the most so far. There’s a harsh nature to the words, almost carrying a layer of beautiful truth above it.
