Chemist 4 U

When it comes to lotions, potions and beauty products I am like a squirrel with nuts. I can’t get enough of them. I collect them. Admire them. I like knowing they are there. There a few products, however, that I use on a regular basis and spend an agreeable amount of money on so when every1 PR got in touch and asked if I wanted to collaborate with Chemist 4 U (and I discovered that they had my best-loved products in store) I said yes immediately.

I had a £30 budget to spend on whatever I liked from the ‘favourites’ section of their online store. Thankfully, many like-minded people have the same love of Bio-Oil, Victoria Secret Sprays and Micellar Water as me so I managed to get the things I was originally after. Chemist 4 U specialize in their online prescription services, Numark brand and other well-known brands at reasonable prices. I’ll admit, I hadn’t heard of Chemist 4 U before, but now that I’ve discovered them I will more than likely use them again in the future.img_6530

Let me walk you through what I spent my £30 on: x2 60ml Bio-Oils (£5.99 each), Victoria Secret’s ‘Secret Charm’ body mist 250ml (£8.99),  Numark micellar water wipes x25 (£1.39), Revlon gentle toner lotion 400ml (£3.99), Numark vapour rub (£1.55) and a cheeky wee metallic styled nail varnish (Gwen Stefani, if you please!) £2.99. Not too shabby for £30, eh? Especially for such great brands.

I use Victoria Secret body mist sprays on a regular basis, I tend to buy them in duty free at the airports when I’m on holiday because they are much cheaper, but Chemist 4 U offers a great price for them (and has a plethora of different scents). I had to pick one up. They are ideal for carrying around in your handbag rather than your most expensive perfumes.

I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t add a vapour candle to my basket; it was the thing I wanted most on the site (and it was only 99p) but it wasn’t in the ‘favourites’ section so I was unable to get it so I substituted it for a vapour rub. I’m sure it’ll come in handy some time soon. I always used to love vapour rubs when I was a wee girl. I was hoping for the candle so I could take it in to the bathroom with me when I’m soaking in the bath, the condensation and the candle would be the dream to unblock sinuses and wind you down after a long day. But not to worry, it’s only 99p, maybe I’ll pick it up another time!

I’ve been using Bio-Oil regularly as of late. I’ve been noticing new stretch marks appearing on my skin here, there and everywhere and although it’s completely naturally and happens to us all, I’ve been freaking out about it. Of course, when you talk of scars, everyone always recommends Bio-Oil and tells you to add it in to your routine so I can’t get enough of the stuff at the moment. I’ve almost finished one of the bottles Chemist 4 U sent me out already over the space of a week or two. (Oops)

Overall, would I recommend Chemist 4 U? Definitely. They were efficient, communicative and the prices are most reasonable. I can’t speak on behalf of the prescription service as I didn’t use this but I can imagine that’s quite a handy service, if like everything these days, you want it delivered to your door. No face-to-face communication. No walks to the pharmacy. No stress. No worries. Hakuna Matata.

Huge shout out to the fabulous Hannah at every1 PR who got in touch and set me with up with this awesome collaboration.

(Oh, and incase you curious cats want to know, yes that is rainbow drops sprinkled around the products in the photo. And, yes, I munched them all once I was finished)…

Until next time,

Charlene McElhinney

Ooh I’ve never heard of Chemist4U before, but it sounds great! I, too, used to be obsessed with bio oil, so I know that this is a great price for it 😂. I haven’t used it in a while though, maybe I’ll pick some up! I also love Victoria’s Secret sprays as, like you said, they’re just so handy and they smell incredible!! I can’t believe how much you managed to get for £30 😱

Loving the new theme! Pipdig are SO easy to use, I find them to be really customisable. I might have a look at the prescription service – I currently have to trek to the pharmacy at least once a month for my diabetes supplies and it’s a pain in the backside because my doctor only uses the 2 pharmacies right beside the surgery. Their product prices seem really affordable too! Xx

Wow, that’s a wonderful haul for very little money. Shame about the candle but maybe you could put the vapour tub in a bowl of hot (not boiling) water for a similar effect? Love your flatlay, and you’ve picked the perfect theme too, your site looks gorgeous! 😚 xx

I’ve never heard of this brand before, but they sound perfect for avoiding face-to-face communication (something I pride my life on) and still getting the products you need in a timely fashion. As someone with anxiety who can’t leave the house alone which severely limits my opportunities to get out and about, this would be an amazing alternative! It sounds like you got some really cheap products for amazing prices, too. I’m off to have a browse and consider picking up some bio oil, and it’s something I’ve been interested in for a while but couldn’t afford the £11-12 shops on the high street were asking. Thanks for making me aware of such an awesome deal.

I used to use Victoria’s Secret body sprays all of the time, I had totally forgotten all about them! I must go & buy some now.

The vapour candle sounds amazing. I couldn’t sleep without Vick’s Vapour Rub when I was little. I loved the stuff. I’ll have to give Chemist 4 U a go. I’m constantly buying stuff from Boots, maybe it will be a little cheaper 😬😂

This is a great skin care post! I just shop at target for face and body wash. My skin has breaking out really bad so I bought some face washes that could help. I’ve never heard of this company, but they seem really affordable and efficient.

I’ve seen Chemist 4 U around and I think I’ve got to treat myself to a few things now I’m starting to invest in some self-care. Your photo is great so bright and the rainbow drops remind me of summertime!
