A Spring in my Step

My favourite season is upon us and I’m skipping in with a spring in my step. Yes, you sussed it, Spring. It’s a time for new beginnings (little llamas, new wardrobe additions, lighter nights and a more positive mindset as we approach the holidays). Overall, Spring is a glorious time and certainly my most optimistic and revitalising time of year!

I thought I’d write a post about what Spring entails for me this year; I don’t have any definite plans but I know for sure I’ll be treating myself to some new seasonal bits and bobs. I’ve been doing some online window shopping actually and a few things have caught my eye already. I reckon I may seize the opportunity this Spring to start getting in my holiday things so that I’m not in a mad panic come Summer time! Briefly let me tell you what I’ve been eyeing up for my boyfriend and I’s holiday adventures: rounded 90s sunglasses (I’m not sure though, I can never decide if I suit rounded or square glasses, I’ve just got one of those faces), luxury perfumes for him & her *(because we like to dine like Kings & Queens when we are abroad and always have our very best gladrags on, expensive scents and make a meal out of our dinner excursions (if you’ll pardon the pun)). Oh and I desperately need to get myself a new denim jacket; there’s something about Spring that just screams denim at me. I’ve got a few already but they are all dark denim, I’m feeling a lighter denim this year, to match the season.

Denim is definitely going to be my thing this Spring/Summer. I’m on the lookout for a decent set of dungarees (so if anyone knows where to find them please HMU). In the mean time, I bet you guys are wondering where my gorgeous outfit is from, well I was gifted this dress from Cari’s Closet and it’s going to be perfect for my holidays when I’m glowing and rocking a tan. I can’t wait to wear it out!

I digress. I’m just so unhappy with my wardrobe at the moment and I get so excited building up a new Spring/Summer wardrobe. I’ve recently been loving Fashion Nova jeans (honestly, I swear by them, and this is coming from a girl who basically lives in black leggings). I’m having great fun experimenting with my wardrobe and picking things I wouldn’t normally go for. This is my biggest goal this Spring. I’m going to try dressing out of my comfort zone more often. Bring. It. On.

Other things I look forward to this Spring: Long drives, good books, a break from university, shopping(!), hopefully a new tattoo and drinking fruit-coolers (they are my new favourite thing). Things I’d like to do? Well, visit a country park and see the newly born animals,  take a trip to forest holidays again (it’s my favourite place in the world – I doubt I’ll be back any time soon though what with 2 summer holidays approaching) and I want to go on some lovely, long, walks. I want to embrace nature, take it all in, and just walk. With no destination. No vision. Just a good ol’ walk.

I am skipping in to the next few months with a spring in my step. It’s about me. I’m allowed to treat myself. I’m making more time for self-care. I’m prioritising myself. Spring makes me feel so merry and motivated. Let’s do this!

OMG Spring is my favourite season to, I love it. I’m a Spring baby to so I’ve always felt connected to that rebirth, new again vibe Spring gives. I LOVE those sunglasses if round sunglasses suited me I’d be treating myself but my head only suit aviator sunglasses which I love wearing. Your outfit is gorgeous by the way and you look stunning.

I’m not into fashion really but I totally relate to your thoughts on Spring! Winter is my favourite season but there’s something about spring which makes me really happy and motivated! Currently going through a Spring detox; sorting out my room, decluttering- that sorta thing and it feels so good! It truly feels like there’s something new on the horizon 🙂 xxx

Okay, I have a confession. I really hate spring fashion. I much prefer the colours of A/W trends and I’m not really a fan of the lighter pastels etc that come in during Spring. I am really looking forward to some lighter nights though! I’ve never shopped on fashion nova but I’ve seen so many people recommending them recently. I’ll have to give them a try x

I am loving your outfit here Charlene! You look absolutely stunning and your figure is just incredible! WOW! It’s the perfect spring outfit too! I will definitely be buying myself a few goodies for my upcoming holidays, a perfume will have to be top of my list because I don’t currently own one! I really hope you do make it to Forest holidays again, it looked amazing last time you went!

    Abbey ❤️
